Self description:
"A non-profit training centre staffed by volunteers [from Australia, Austria, China, UK, and US - ed.] that is dedicated to fighting poverty in Tibetan and other ethnic minority communities in southwest China. ETLI is a not-for-profit training center located in Eastern Tibet (Northwest Yunnan Province, China) providing training to unemployed youths from Tibetan and other ethnic minority backgrounds. The training program includes courses in English conversation, computer literacy, customer service and tourism management. ETLI also offers a range of other English language classes for local students and will soon offer Chinese and Tibetan language courses to foreign students."
